Soul City Records, Inc. was formed in 1966 by Johnny Rivers.
The Fifth Dimension and Al Wilson were part of the Soul City Records roster,
and in its first year won two Grammy's for Record and Song of The Year!
Rivers Music Publishing was an intricate part of Soul City Records, publishing
such great hits as "By The Time I Get To Phoenix," "Up Up and Away," and
"The Snake."

Publishing. Jimmy wrote hits for Johnny Rivers, The Fifth Dimension and
Glen Campbell (just to name a few!).
In 1976 Soul City, then distributed by Bigtree/Atlantic,
produced the top-ten hit "Slow Dancin' (Swayin' To The Music)" which was
produced and performed by Johnny himself.
